Ryozen Sato (27), an unemployed man from Mihota-cho, Koriyama City, was arrested on January 4 on suspicion of stealing 57 metal weights worth 85,000 yen from a road construction site. was
The police were investigating the relationship because a large amount of metal products were stolen on the roads of Koriyama City and Sukagawa City, and Sato confessed to the crime, and from November last year to January this year. It was revealed that about 11 tons in total, including about 630 pieces of grating and checkered steel plates, had been stolen from 50 roads and parking lots by the month. The total damage caused by the theft involving Sato is estimated to be about 3 million yen.
Sato is believed to have committed the crime alone at night, and told investigators, "I did it. I sold what I stole to a trader."
