You can open PDF files on your Android smartphone just like you can on your PC. However, for some reason, you may not be able to open the PDF file. In this article, we will explain in detail the causes and solutions when PDF files cannot be opened on Android smartphones.
If you cannot open a PDF file on your Android smartphone, the following reasons are possible.
・The PDF reader application is not installed on the Android device ・You are using the Yahoo! browser ・The download destination for Chrome is specified as an SD card
I will explain how to deal with each.
A PDF reader app is not installed on your Android device
To open a PDF file on an Android device, a "PDF Reader App" is required. If you don't have the app installed, download the free Adobe Acrobat Reader.
First, go to Google Play→here.

[3] If you have an account, log in. If you do not, tap the "x" icon in the upper right (you can use the app without logging in).
[4] You will be able to browse PDF documents freely. If you still can't open it, please change the default reader app. Go to "Settings" → "Apps & notifications" or "App management" → "Default apps" → "PDF files" and select Adobe Acrobat Reader.
