Far away from Taiwan, vowed. However, no matter how hard he tried, he could not become a professional baseball player. Mr. Yo Seung-chae, who is currently supporting the players behind the scenes at the Yokohama DeNA Baystars, said with a radiant expression. “I couldn’t fulfill my dream as a player, but I was able to join a professional baseball team called DeNA and have a job related to baseball. I think I was able to do this because he looked after me until now." Sun-che, who joined DeNA in the off-season in 2020, is from Taiwan. This season, which was his first year, he worked as a "team PR" that connects the team and the media, and during the season as a southpaw batting pitcher, he threw live balls into the players every day. Fluent in Japanese, Mandarin and English, and humble and good-natured, he is affectionately called "Sun-che" by the players and team staff, and has completely blended into the team. "DeNA is a really good team, and the people around me are kind and helpful. I myself still have many shortcomings, but I have nothing but gratitude." I came to Japan when I entered Fukuoka Daiichi High School. The school I attended in Taiwan was a sister school to Fukuoka Daiichi, and that led me to leave my hometown at the age of 16. In fact, when I was in elementary school, I visited Japan for a baseball game, and I had a good impression of Japan from that time. However, when he decided to study abroad at Fukuoka Daiichi, both he and his parents were hesitant at first. It can't be helped considering that I was still in junior high school. However, the school officials appreciated Sun-chae's ability and enthusiastically approached her many times, so I realized that this was a chance and decided to make up my mind. Mr. Sunche landed in Fukuoka with two students in the same grade. Of course, he joined the baseball club, but two years above him was Yang Daigang, who was from Taitung Prefecture, the same hometown. As you know, he was a player in the draft who made a name for himself as a super high school level infielder, and later went on to become a professional player.
