Sony adds new color Midnight Blue to "WH-1000XM4" for a limited number and for a limited time
Sony sells the new color "Midnight Blue" of its noise canceling wireless headphones "WH-1000XM4".

What is the “WH-1000XM4”?
The “WH-1000XM4” is the successor to the “WH-1000XM3” released in Japan in September 2018. It features better active noise cancellation than its predecessor and improves voice call quality. The built-in driver is 40mm, which is the same as the previous model.
The noise canceling processor is the same QN1 as its predecessor, but the new Bluetooth SoC and algorithm, and the sensing of changes in ambient noise more than 700 times per second, achieve real-time high noise cancellation. In particular, noise cancellation in the mid-to-high range, such as human voices and environmental noise, has been improved, making it possible to listen to music in a quieter environment.
It also continues to feature the Quick Attention feature, which temporarily reduces noise cancellation by placing your hand over the right earcup.
As a new feature, a "speak-to-chat" function that pauses music in response to the user's voice and allows you to hear more surrounding sounds will be installed. By using this function, it is possible to talk without taking off the headphones even when people around you talk to you. It also has the smartness of automatically playing music 30 seconds after you stop talking.
Furthermore, it is now possible to connect two devices at the same time. When the phone on your smartphone rings, you can automatically switch the connection to your smartphone, so you can smoothly transition to a conversation.
It also supports "DSEE Extreme," which brings sound sources such as MP3 closer to the high-resolution level. This function is an extension of the function previously called "DSEE HX", and by analyzing music in real time using AI technology, it is possible to reproduce the sound lost during compression.
The compatible Bluetooth standard is "Bluetooth 5.0". Equipped with a 3.5mm earphone jack for wired connection, you can listen to music in a wired environment by using the included 3.5mm audio cable. It also has a double-pin adapter, so it can be used on older aircraft. The supported codecs are LDAC, SBC, and AAC, and aptX/aptX HD is no longer supported.
It is calculated that the battery life is up to 30 hours, and up to 38 hours when the noise canceling function is turned off. It also supports fast charging, and you can use it for 5 hours with 10 minutes of charging.
