Recently, many people have set their iPhones and smartphones to silent mode so that they do not ring. It seems that. However, if the ringtone does not ring when you want it, you will be in trouble because you will miss an important call. If you are having trouble with your iPhone not ringing, here are four things to check.
Let's check the ring/silent switch on the left side of the iPhone. The ring/silent switch can be moved up and down to turn on/off manner mode with a single action. If you can see the orange color, you won't hear the ringtone. In addition, even if it is in silent mode, the sound of videos and the "Music" app is basically output.

When the iPhone is in sleep mode, notification sounds such as ringtones and emails will not sound, and the screen will not light up. It can be used not only when sleeping, but also when you want to concentrate on your work, or when you are at the movie theater.
You can check the good night mode from the control center. When the crescent moon mark is purple, the sleep mode is on and the crescent mark should be displayed in the status bar. Tap the crescent moon icon, and when the crescent moon turns white, good night mode is turned off.
You can also turn it on/off from "Good night mode" in the "Settings" app.

If the ringtone does not sound even though you are not in silent mode or good night mode, it is possible that the volume is low and you are not hearing the ringtone. You can adjust the volume with the volume buttons on the side, the "Settings" app, or the control center.
You can adjust the volume of the ringtone with the volume button on the left side of the main unit. You can adjust the volume during calls, music, and video playback.
You can adjust the ringer volume by moving the volume bar in "Sounds & Haptics" or "Sounds" in the "Settings" app.
When earphones or headphones are connected to the iPhone, sound will not be output from the speaker of the iPhone itself. If wired earphones are connected, remove the earphones.
For wireless earbuds, turn off Bluetooth as they are connected via Bluetooth. Bluetooth can be turned on/off from the "Settings" app or Control Center.
You can turn it on/off by moving the switch at the top of "Bluetooth" in the "Settings" app. This image shows green, so it is on.
If the ringtone does not sound even after checking the above 4 items, restart the iPhone. Turn off your iPhone, then turn it back on and check again to see if it rings. If it still doesn't ring, contact Apple Support.
It is possible that the ringtone does not ring only for a call from a specific person. This is because the iPhone can set the ringtone individually. If you don't hear calls only from that person, your ringer may be set to silence.
If you search for "ringtone silent" in the iTunes Store, you can find a silent ringtone, so there is a possibility that the ringtone is set to silent.
You can check individual ringtone settings by displaying the other party's information from the "Contacts" app or the incoming call history. Tap Edit to see what your ringtone is set to, and change it to something that makes a sound, such as the built-in ringtone.
Check what the ringtone is set to on the Edit Contacts screen.
Conversely, if you want to turn off the ringtone on your iPhone, you can set it to silent mode or sleep mode. . Even if the iPhone is in silent mode (with the silent switch visible in orange) or in good night mode, the sound of alarms, timers, music, and videos such as YouTube will be emitted. In trains, buses, movie theaters, etc., be careful to turn off alarms and timers, and do not start applications that make sounds.
