[RE: CONFIG.SYS of Shohei Yamada] Older use of new cameras, such as old -fashioned -PC Watch

A camera lighter than a PC

Nikon's mirrorless camera "Z fc" has been released.

At the beginning of the announcement, it was announced that it would be released in late July, but it was decided that it would be released on July 23rd. The release of the "Z fc 28mm f/2.8 Special Edition Kit" has been postponed due to the prospect of not being able to prepare a sufficient supply. It seems that the supply of parts to make this 28mm prime lens is delayed.

Personally, I had no intention of purchasing this camera at first. The reason for this was that I had already decided to stop using cameras with APS-C image sensors, and I was hesitant about not being comfortable with mirrorless EVFs. I was also worried about the lack of sensor cleaning and in-body image stabilization functions.

I decided to try it for the time being, so I went to the Nikon Plaza in Shinjuku on July 5th, touched the actual machine, and checked out the specs. As a result, I thought that it would be fine if it was so different from my favorite D850, so I made a reservation on the site of the mass retailer on the same day.

[Shohei Yamada's Re:config. sys] Old damage, old use of new camera - PC Watch

Even after the release date was decided on July 23rd, the pending display continued, and even the day before, the doorbell rang on the morning of the 23rd. I was able to Embarrassingly enough, this is the first time I own a mirrorless interchangeable lens camera.

I purchased the "Z fc 16-50 VR SL Lens Kit". I don't own a single Nikon Z mount lens. So it will be the first one. When this lens "NIKKOR Z DX 16-50mm f/3.5-6.3 VR" is attached to the APS-C Z fc, it provides an angle of view of 24-75mm in 35mm conversion.

The weight of 135g is great for a regular zoom lens, and the shortest shooting distance of 25cm at the wide end and 30cm at the tele end seems easy to use. Whether or not the NC filter or hood is necessary is pending for now.

The weight of the Z fc is 445g including the battery and memory card, so the total weight is 580g. Barely lighter than the 634g Fujitsu (FCCL) mobile notebook PC "LIFEBOOK UH".

There's nothing I can do about the darkness of the lens, but I have no choice but to increase the ISO sensitivity and balance the balance. When using it for coverage, it doesn't matter how beautiful the shots taken with a slow shutter speed are. This is because the person who is the subject moves and causes subject blur. That's why I want to keep the shutter speed below 1/250 as much as possible.
