It has a solid design, but it is slightly larger and heavier than the Xperia 1 III

Since it was already introduced in the Xperia PRO-I news article, here is a simple Xperia Introducing the specifications and appearance of the PRO-I.

Although the rear camera of the Xperia PRO-I has been greatly changed as will be introduced later, the other parts are almost the same as the SIM-free model of the Xperia 1 III, the flagship model of the Xperia series. It's becoming

Xperia PRO-I Front

The main specifications of the Xperia PRO-I are summarized in Table 1, and most of them are the same as the SIM-free model of the Xperia 1 III. However, Xperia The PRO-I lacks the wireless charging function. It seems that this is not installed due to the specification change of the rear camera.

Physical buttons are concentrated on the right side. From the top, the volume button, fingerprint sensor integrated power button, shortcut key, and shutter button are lined up. Among these, the shortcut key is a button for starting any application specified by the user. By default, the video shooting application "Videography Pro", which will be introduced later, is assigned, and other arbitrary applications can be specified.

The rear display uses a 4K organic EL display with the same specifications as the Xperia 1 III.The SIM card tray on the left side of the lower side can hold two nano SIMs, one on each side, and a microSD card on the SIM2 side. Nano SIM can also be attached to the back side of the SIM card tray for exclusive use, supporting DSDS / DSDV Volume button and fingerprint authentication sensor integrated power button are placed on the upper right side right side right side Shortcut on the lower right side Arrange the keys and shutter button You can assign any application to the shortcut key

The specifications are almost the same as the Xperia 1 III SIM free model, and the metal frame on the side and the glass on the back are the same. , the exterior design has been greatly changed.

The biggest change is the side design. The side of the Xperia 1 III was almost flat, while the Xperia PRO-I has a wavy design with fine grooves. . This is said to be a consideration to ensure a firm grip on the main body. Also, of course, the specifications of the rear camera have changed significantly, and the camera mounting position has been changed to the center of the main unit, so the impression of the back has changed significantly.

This is my personal impression, but the Xperia PRO-I has a stronger impression due to the design change on the side. Considering the target audience of the Xperia PRO series, I feel that this design matches.

The only color is frost black. Both the metal frame on the side and the rear glass are frosted with a frosted glass texture that suppresses the glossiness, which should also be a factor that enhances the solid feeling.

Another feature that the Xperia 1 III does not have is that it has a strap hole on the left side. In recent years, almost no smartphone has a strap hole in the main body, and if you want to use a strap, you have no choice but to use a case with a strap hole. However, the Xperia PRO-I can be used with a strap attached to the main unit, so it feels very secure. In addition, by using a neck strap, etc., you can hold the main unit firmly, which leads to more stable shooting.

The size is 72 x 166 x 8.9mm (width x depth x height). The size of the Xperia 1 III is 71 x 165 x 8.2mm (same), so the Xperia PRO-I is slightly larger. You can't really tell the difference when you hold them side by side, but you can clearly see the difference when you put them side by side. That said, it's not disappointingly big, so you shouldn't be too concerned about it.

On the other hand, the weight is about 211g, which greatly exceeds 200g. It weighs about 25g more than the Xperia 1 III, and it feels quite heavy in your hand. The increase in weight is due to the increase in size of the camera and the increase in the size of the housing. The measured weight was 210.2g (when SIM was not installed).

The color is matte frost black, the same as the Xperia 1 III in that it has a metal frame on the side and glass on the back, but it has a wavy design with grooves on the side, giving it a heavy image. A strap hole is provided at the bottom of the right side.Because you can attach a strap to the main unit, you can not only feel secure, but also use the neck strap to prevent blurring when shooting. -I (right) is slightly larger. The nominal weight was 211g, and the actual measurement was 210.2g. It feels heavy when you hold it in your hand
