Two advanced functions in the "Photos" app of iOS 15 Try "View & Edit Shooting Information" and "Memory": Kei Ogikubo's iPhone Camera Course (1/3 page)

"Memory" function upgraded in iOS 15

With the introduction of the "iPhone 13" series, the camera function has always been the focus of attention, but the camera isn't just about shooting. It's not the end to share it immediately after shooting. The photos stored on the iPhone (and even on iCloud Photos) will be acquired over the years, with various meanings ... sometimes involving the history of black.

That's why the iOS photo app is strengthening how to make use of the accumulated photos year by year. In iOS 15, we have enhanced the "For You" function, which is mainly responsible for it. This is pretty interesting so you should give it a try.

Another feature that I've always wanted is "viewing and editing detailed shooting information". Let's start with the latter, which is easy to talk about.

The iOS photo app had a strong policy of using it sensuously without giving out technical details as much as possible, so I needed a separate app when I wanted to know detailed shooting information. But with iOS 15, it's easy to see. Display the photo and flick it up.

Until now, only photos and maps were displayed, but from iOS 15, the date and time, camera model, file format, and shooting information are now detailed.

In this way, shooting information is displayed in detail.

Below the date and time is the file name. The cloud icon to the left of the file name is whether it has been uploaded to "iCloud Photo".

You can change the shooting date and time by tapping "Adjust" next to the date and time. If it is a photo taken with an iPhone, the correct shooting date and time will be set, so you do not need to mess with it, but for some unavoidable circumstances you want to cheat the shooting date, or if you transfer the photo taken with a digital camera, the date and time of the digital camera was wrong It can be used for occasions (a camera that sets the date and time manually may have made a mistake for one year, or made a mistake in the morning and afternoon. Experienced people say).

Next, the model name of the camera and the specifications of the lens. Even if you transfer a photo taken with another company's camera to your iPhone, the camera name and the lens you are wearing will be displayed properly.

Photos taken with Sony's "α7C" and transferred via Wi-Fi are also OK. By the way, "ILCE-7C" is the official model number of α7C.If you import via the app, the app name will also be displayed.

Below that is image information. Along with the number of pixels, the number of horizontal and vertical pixels, and the file size. Below that is shooting information. ISO sensitivity, focal length, exposure compensation value, aperture value, shutter speed. The shooting information attached to photos taken with a digital camera is determined by a standard called "EXIF", and the basic items are displayed here.

At the bottom is a map, which shows the shooting location. When you tap it, you can display it in full screen and it will show you the detailed shooting location, but it also has an "adjustment" button.

You can also adjust the position by tapping the "Adjust" button in the upper right. If you select "Show photos of the surrounding area", other photos taken around here will also be shown.

Adjustment is good when you want to erase the location information. Basically, Twitter, Facebook, etc. will automatically erase the location information when you upload a photo, but you have to be careful when sending it by e-mail or message or pasting it on a blog, so that kind of thing. Sometimes it can be "no location information".

You can safely handle photos taken at home by setting "no location information". However, you need to be careful because you cannot use it by searching using location information (for example, if you search for "home", you can pick up only the photos taken at home).

I erased the location information from the photos I took at home. You can see that the location information is not attached because the map is not displayed. For You function has been enhanced 1 | 2 | 3 Go to the next page
